As many of you will know, last year I sold my house in Maxville, then following a brief spell in Long Sault in rented accommodation, I bought a house in Cornwall (Ontario) . My new home had been well looked after by the previous owners, and most of the décor is acceptable for the immediate future . Already I’ve had a few friends stay overnight, and one subject that always came up for discussion was the art work in the spare bed room. One of the former owners had lovingly decorated the walls with a Winnie the Pooh theme. Fancy borders, murals and  even the light shade all decked out with images of the children’s story book favorite. My plan for the room is for it to serve dual purposes, a spare room for friends and family when they visit, and a place to store my racing records, and artifacts.

Something had to be done !

I’m a self confessed  ‘hoarder’ and for many years I have religiously clung on to much of the racing memorabilia I’ve collected over the years. I have posters from racing events dating back over 30 years !  Some of the stuff is very rare and collectors would just love to get their hands on it !

I couldn’t see any point in going out and buying wallpaper when I’d got the perfect covering.  I forgot about aspirations of getting rich via E-BAY and decided to put many of my vintage posters to good use.

EAT YOUR HEART OUT, memorabilia collectors, you will now have to buy my house if you want to get hold of them. Winnie the Pooh is no more !

Anyone wishing to view them in detail, my Bed and Breakfast rates are quite reasonable !
