The original report for this week has been mislaid, but diary records and photo’s tell me that I was at three different tracks over the period.

On Friday night I was at Autodrome Edelweiss in Cantley , Quebec, where the racing came to an end after the heat races, due to rain. I was there early enough to chat with Mike and Lori Lasalle and their new ‘hired gun’, the talented Jessica Zemken.021_21 (Medium) 017_17 (Medium) 014_14 (Medium)001_1 (Medium) 002_2 (Medium) 008_8 (Medium)After the rain had put a stop to the night, I also chatted to the young Gage Morin, who recently graduated up from the Mini Stocks.022_22 (Medium)

On Saturday I was at the Brockville  Ontario Speedway, for a night of Modifieds, Sportsman and Sprint Cars.

During my usual walkabout the pits , I met up with my friend Erin Joyce, one of the Capital City Speedway Legend drivers who was trying her hand in a Marcel Pecore owned Sportsman 029_29 (Medium)I also came across my good friend Lee Ladouceur, and his Sprint Car crew.  Lee has recently made the switch from Mods to Sprints.034_34 (Medium)

One unusual visitor in the pits, was young Larry Wight, making the journey up from Central New York053_53 (Medium)

Once the racing got under way, i was in my usual spot on the middle taking pics.043_43 (Medium) 046_46 (Medium) 036_36 (Medium)The Sprint Car feature went to Steve Poirier031_31 (Medium) 060_60 (Medium)055_55 (Medium)Where as their Dash for Cash went to Glenn Styres

While I was at Brockville , the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series had been scheduled for the Autdrome St Eustache , near Montreal , quebec, but heavy rain, caused them to post-pone until Sunday.

On Sunday 1 June, I should of been at the Cornwall Motor Speedway, but with plenty more overnight rain, it caused an early cancellation.

The post-poned NCTS race was still on when I heard about the Cornwall cancellation, so I set off for St Eustache.068_68 (Medium) It was damp and wet when I arrived, but being a paved track, there is always more hope of getting a show in the books … They dry quicker than clay.085_85 (Medium) 088_88 (Medium)

It wasn’t too bad, and it looked like there was a possibility of some action taking place as the cars lined up to enter the track .

I spotted my friend, Derek Lynch waiting it out, so went to say hello080_80 (Medium)Some pre -race pomp took place with local hero Andrew Ranger while we waited to see what the weather would do.075_75 (Medium)Well the rain came down heavier, and the race cars had the tarps put back over them, 071_71 (Medium) 073_73 (Medium)It soon became obvious, the day was over, and I had another rain out in the books
