On Sunday 29 January, I set off for Mercier, Quebec, located near to Chateauguay.

An ice racing event had been organized on land, at what appeared to be agricultural  or industrial property. It was hard to figure out, as everywhere was ice covered.

After a quick wander round the pits,

I drove my Chevy up on a banking where, I could watch from the warmth of my car. Many of the cars racing were the same ones that race on the frozen water of the nearby St Lawrence at Maple Grove
