WEEKLY REPORT (6th June to 12 June 2017)

This weeks report will be a bit shorter than normal, as time has been scarce. As well as spending two days at the Cornwall Hospital for I.V.I .G transfusions, Iv’e had a visitor from the UK.

My week starts on Tuesday  6 June when I had an early morning phone call from the Cornwall Hospital , informing me I was booked in for two days of I.V.I.G transfusions on Thursday and Friday 8/9 June. These all prescribed to fight my MYASTHENIA GRAVIS condition. These went ahead as planned and my Friday session was all over by 2-30 pm. There were no Modifieds at my local Mohawk International Speedway that night and my buddy Ron Morin, had offered me a ride to Autodrome Granby, Where the Mods were running, as well as a Dirtcar Series  Race for Pro Stocks.

Raymond Lavergne the promoter of the Cornwall Motor Speedway had given Ron the use of the Pace Truck and the two of us, went up in that.

He picked me up at 3-45 pm and we were at Autodrome Granby at about 6-00 pm.

One of the first people I bumped into was my friend Rob Yetman , who was up from Albany NY for the Pro Stock Series.

David Hebert won in the Modifieds. We were back in Cornwall at about 1-00 am.  I had a Doctors appointment canceled on Saturday morning, and at lunch time I was meeting my visitor from the UK. Robin Shaw, a racing friend from the UK was over here on a racing vacation, He had a rental car and on Friday night he was at the Oshweken Speedway near Hamilton. I met him at the Tim Hortons on Boundary Rd , beside Highway 401, and he was going to be staying at my place.

Once again Ron Morin gave us a ride to our Saturday nights racing, the Airborne Speedway at Plattsburgh New York . Ron , Robin and myself were joined by Rons friend Jacques Hebert.

I’ve been Airborne many times in the past, but for this year the track had been transferred from pavement to dirt in an attempt to bring back the crowds.

We arrived with the Pace Truck in good time, and Ron offered to do some Pace Truck duty for the night and was parked on the middle,

We made our exit for Cornwall after the Modifieds, and missed the last feature of the night for 4 cyls.

Sunday, It was my local Cornwall Motor Speedway, and the weather was gorgeous.
